3 Tips for Improving Your Golf Swing

It is patently untrue that you must hit harder when swinging into the wind. You do not want the ball to rise high into the wind with spin, and that is what happens when you hit it hard. All that means is you'll lose control and accuracy of the ball. Instead, move the ball backwards into your stance by a few inches. Then in addition to that adjustment, you want to place your hands a bit forward. Finally, your choice of club; use one that is longer than that which you would normally be using. After doing this, swing easy or like you normally would. After doing it, come back and tell us how much better your accuracy plus greater control... we'll wait.

Many beginners swing at the ball. The truth is that, if you want to improve your golf swing, you need to swing through the ball. Your follow through is just as important as the rest of your backswing and down swing. Here are some tips for practicing your follow through.

Put down two tees. On one tee put yo ur ball. Put the second tee about eight inches in front of the tee with your ball. Practice hitting the ball and the second tee. By practicing, you will learn to hit the ball and make it over the second tee with a single swing.

The power for your swing will emanate from your legs and body trunk. Your swing power is not in your arms. Ok? It's not about how 'strong' your arms are. This is a very common "rookie" mistake. Actually, you can injure your self if you swing and hit only using your arms. So just practice that and think about what you're doing with your legs and trunk of your body when it comes to power. You'll be better able to keep the proper stance. It protects your arms and wrists. Plus, you can eventually develop the power you want in those long drives that people stop and watch.

Golf is a great game, and a lot of people enjoy going golfing when they have free time. But one thing to keep in mind is that getting better takes patience and dedi cation. And that applies especially with your golf swing. Millions of golfers make progress with their golf swings all the time, and it's something you can do, as well.
